On St. Patrick's Day, Emmalee came home from school talking about being 1/2 Irish. I told her she was not 1/2 Irish, but less than 1/4. So at dinner (by the way, I made corned beef reubens and they were DELICIOUS) she kept saying "I'm a quarter Irish" over and over. Micah pondered this for a while, and then said "I'm a dime!"

March Madness
Our holidays don't really stop here until the middle of March. In December we have my birthday and Christmas, which is drawn out to accomodate celebrating with all of our family and then January is New Years and Emmalee's birthday, which lasts nearly all month due to family parties and kid parties, and then February is Micah's birthday which again we celebrate multiple times, and then Steve's and my anniversary is the beginning of March and it all winds down on March 13 with Steve's birthday. So now I am breathing a sigh of relief, knowing that I don't have to plan any more birthdays or other celebrations until July when Lily turns 2. Whew!
Thank you to all of you who sent Steve and I good wishes on our 9th anniversary! We got ourselves a babysitter and went out to dinner to celebrate! Such a nice time, eating at our own leisure and just being able to sit and talk! For Steve's birthday dinner, he chose to go to the AWESOME chinese buffet, where he eats several plates full of delicious crab legs! The kids and I gave him a new outfit and a new Wii game for his birthday, but no cake, per his wishes! We're on a health kick in this house! Steve says "Thank you" to you all who sent him cards/gifts.
Happy Spring!

More Birthday
I decorated the house with Nascar and other race car stuff - there was a big sign on the door, checkered flag streamers, and balloons. I bought a race car candy mold and actually MADE blue chocolate race car lollipops for everyone's goodie bag. I found gummi race cars at the store. He had Nascar plates and cups and napkins. We brought out the rug that is a town scene with roads all over it, and all the cars we have in the house for the boys to play with. It was a really good time. Micah had fun, his friends had fun, and the moms had fun chatting!
Today Micah went for his 4-year checkup. He is doing great! He weighed in at 36lbs and is 38 1/2 inches. He read all the letters off the eye chart and survived a shot! What a big boy!
