We always bring the kids out for dinner on their birthday, at a restaurant of their choice. After Emmalee's birthday this year, Micah decided he wanted to go out to Chuck E. Cheese for his birthday dinner. Now I am not a huge fan of Chuck E. Cheese; it is always crowded and the pizza is not that good and the prizes the kids get to choose from is essentially just JUNK. But we promised that he could go to Chuck E. Cheese for his birthday dinner. Since his birthday was on Sunday this year and I have to work Sunday nights, we decided we would go on Saturday. We invited our friends to come with us, and Dad came along too. We arrived at about 6:15 on Saturday night. I had made cupcakes and brought them with us too. When we got there, the place was absolutely PACKED. Standing room only - no tables for about 30 minut
es. But the kids were able to run around and play games. So Steve got in line and ordered our pizzas and bought all the kids some tokens to play games with. We finally got a table and were able to put our stuff down. A while later the pizza came out, tasting of cardboard and with not enough sauce on it. There were kids and babies and adults everywhere. But the kids had a great time and won lots of tickets which we will have to go back to red
eem because the prize-picking-process just takes way too long and we were ready to leave by the time the last token had been played. Most importantly, Micah was thrilled that he was able to go to Chuck E. Cheese, and it made his birthday special!

He tore open his presents and was happy with
all of them. He got a Bat Cave toy set and some other superhero figures, a couple of cds, and a mini air hockey table. The kids played nicely (for the most part) together
all day. Happy 4th Birthday, Micah!!

Oh the dreaded Chuck E. Cheese. I LOVE your description here. You're such a good mommy for going through with it all!
