I was thrown back into the swing of things this morning after a nice looooong weekend away. Mom flew Andrea and I out to NC for the weekend for a 5-day visit. It was SO nice and just what I needed in the middle of the winter! The first 2 days were chilly, but the last 3 were beautiful, and I even managed to get a slight sunburn! Mom spoiled us with massages and great meals and a movie; all the things I don't get here! :-) Thanks Mom! Love you!
And I am happy to report that Steve managed the kids all by himself! He had a good dose of what I do all the time. He had to get Emmalee off to school Thurs, Fri & Mon. Friday morning he had to bring Micah and Lily to a birthday party. Saturday he painted Emmalee's fingernails for her and got her ready for the Father/Daughter Girl Scout "Prom" (thank you Dad for coming to watch the other 2 kids for him!). Monday he had to take all the kids out to Emmalee's orthodontist appt., then bring Emmalee to school! By the way, Em will need to have at least 2 teeth pulled to start. I need to make that appt. She is not very happy about that.
Now I need to do some damage control from all the junk food I ate over the weekend and get myself to the gym all week! It was all worth it, though! Everyone should get a little taste of summer in the middle of the winter!
