Teeth!

Last week, Emmalee had two of her baby teeth taken out, on the advice of both her dentist and her orthodontist. She has severe overcrowding, and one of her permanent teeth, which she lost several months ago, has not been able to come in due to the crowdedness and one of her canines! So both canines on the top were removed. I asked Steve to go with her, for several reasons. First, I can't stand going to the dentist myself; it causes me great anxiety. Second, I wasn't sure how Em was going to do with the drugs, etc. Third, I can't stand the sight of blood. So off they went last Thursday morning. Steve gave me a play-by-play. She was given laughing gas, and then a couple shots of novacaine. The teeth came out without a problem, and she was home an hour later. Steve said she acted a little bit silly, due to the gas, but that all in all, she was very brave and didn't feel a thing!

The tooth fairy came that night with a little extra money than usual, since these teeth were lost traumatically!
