Greetings from sunny North Carolina!

Well we made it! We arrived at Jeff's house in DE around 10pm on Wednesday and the kids were able to spend a little bit of time with Aunt Caroline and Uncle Jeff and cousin Heather (the other kids were all away!). We were up really early Thursday morning - Jeff drove us all to the airport and we made it through with all 3 kids and no problems! The flight was good - the kids were all great - and we touched down in Raleigh around 11am. After getting our luggage and our rental mini van, we made it to Mom's by 2:30pm. I don't know what the weather is like in CT, but it has been BEAUTIFUL here!
Okay - about the mini van - it is a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan - and I don't really like it. I tried. I like the amount of room inside, and it drives very smoothly, but I don't like that the only windows that can go down are the driver's and passenger's! I don't know if all mini vans are like that - but that is horrible!
We went to our favorite pizza place, CiCi's, last night. This place is great. It is a pizza buffet. $2.99 per person, and you get all the salad, pasta, pizza, bread sticks, soup, dessert, and drinks you want! This is no ordinary pizza either - they have all kinds of crazy flavors - macaroni and cheese pizza, ham and cheese (like Velveeta cheese), barbeque chicken, and of course, the typical ones too. We love it there.
Today the temperature was in the 80's. We went on a safari drive at a place called Lazy 5 Ranch. It was so cool - you buy buckets of feed when you pull in, and the animals will come right up to your windows and eat out of the buckets! There were pot-bellied pigs, antelopes, goats, buffalo, deer, ostriches, llamas, camels, zebras, giraffes, and a bunch of other deer-type animals (I'm not sure what they were). It was the coolest place. The kids all sat in our laps in the front seat with the windows down (since the windows in the back seats don't go down...) and we fed the animals. Some antelope knocked the food bucket out of Steve's hand, so that one got a big meal. Emmalee was a little nervous about the ostriches. And Micah was most interested in the big piles of poop all over the ground. Typical little boy, I guess.
We played at the playground in Mom's complex when we got back. And I realized that my right arm and thigh are scorched - because the sun was coming in that side of the car all day!
The forecast for tomorrow is warm (70's) and rainy - hopefully they get the rain part of the forecast wrong!
Will keep you updated as the week goes on! And I'll post pictures when we get home!
