I know I write a lot about Micah - but I spend all day with him, and he is hilarious, so he provides lots of entertainment and writing material!
Yesterday he was playing with a balloon Emmalee got at a birthday party over the weekend. He was bopping it around, and then he grabbed it and squeezed it. "Look Mom, I'm squeezing it!" You know what happened next - POP! Took him by surprise. I told him to go throw it away and he asked me to blow it back up. He was very worried about Emmalee being upset about the balloon popping. So after I explained that the balloon could not be blown back up, he finally trudged to the kitchen to throw it away. The next thing I know, he's crying and climbing into my arms. I asked him what was wrong and he said:
"I've got the bluey-blues" "What?" I asked, thinking I hadn't heard him correctly. "I've got the bluey-blues because I'm sad that the balloon popped"
Now I have no idea where he got that saying from but I nearly died laughing. I asked him where he had heard that and he said he didn't know. I'm laughing even now as I write this! Where on earth did that come from!?
Later last night, Micah was singing "Say What You Need To Say" by John Mayer. Pretty easy song to pick up since that is essentially the only line in the song (he must say it 100 times), but still, funny to hear your 3-year-old boy singing a song from the radio...
Yesterday was such a beautiful day! Emmalee had a 1/2 day and her friend Jacqueline came home from school with her. Poor Micah - he asked "Is there a boy for me?" So anyway, so that the girls wouldn't totally trash Emmalee's bedroom, and so that Micah wouldn't bug them all afternoon, I packed everyone up and we went to this new playground in Avon that we'd never been to before. It was AWESOME! Good for little kids and big kids. We spent all afternoon, and all of us got a little pink in the faces! Even Lily, which reminds me that I need to dig out a sun hat for her...
