Skybus
So - Steve and the kids and I are going to North Carolina in a couple weeks to spend Emmalee's Spring Break with my mom. We found out about this great low priced airline called Skybus and purchased 4 round trip tickets for under $400! This morning, we learned that Skybus went bankrupt yesterday! I just spent an hour on the phone with my credit card company filing a dispute on the charge, and hopefully we will be credited the amount within 6-8 weeks! I guess if something sounds too good to be true, it must be! I feel bad for people who were scheduled to fly out today, or for people who are already on their vacation and need to get back home - thank God we were a couple weeks out from our flight date! Of course, now Steve has been online all morning searching for decent priced tickets to North Carolina! They are hard to find! Looks like we will be driving down to Steve's brother Jeff's house in Delaware and flying out of Philly - that seems to be the best way to get a good price! As Micah says "Stinkin' Skybus!"

Thanks for creating this blog site to keep in touch with everyone - it's cute! I have been looking since January for decent flights to CT at the end of June and the cheapest I can find is $1200 for the four of us... looks like we'll be driving again. We did it in one day in December so we're hoping to do the same this summer.
Ugh...we hear you on the Skybus thing. When Steve called us last Saturday, Pete's face just dropped. We ended up having to rebook through Jet Blue for like triple the cost.. fun stuff!
