Emmalee and I enjoyed a princess tea party together yesterday. It was sponsored by the Girl Scouts, and was held at Ethel Walker school, a girl's private school which is about a mile up the road. I have driven by it nearly every day for the last 4 years, but never had a reason to be on campus. What a pretty campus it is!
The girls were told to dress like a princess, so we pulled out the dress Emmalee wore for "Aunt Katie's" wedding (which amazingly still fit!) and the tiara, and got her all dolled up. We met the rest of her troop there and were seated at a table that had plates of tiny triangle tea sandwiches on it - peanut butter and jelly, and cucumber. Emmalee loved the cucumber sandwiches. We were then served tea or lemonade by older Girl Scouts, followed by miniature cupcakes and shortbread. All the troops had their pictures taken together, and that was it! It was just an hour, but what a fun time we had!
